Locally sourced fired clay, hand-made paper from locally gathered fallen leaves, hand-made candle, soil, dried flowers, rock, string.

In this work inspired by childhood walks and memories exploring nature, Dew uses mostly found material to create a book-like recollection of personal experiences. Using raw clay found locally, ceramic pages stand central to the piece with etchings and impressions of natural material. The foreground shows a hand-made candle with the wick flowing from the bottom through the rest of the piece to dried flowers lying on hand-made paper made from fallen leaves,  to a ceramic imprinted bowl resting on soil to tie itself round a found stone.
